The Color Purple (2023) which was was a musical remake of the beloved classic movie The Color Purple which starred Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey. The new version stars Fantasia Barrino and Taraji P. Henson.

I really enjoyed this newer version of the classic and I am not known to be big on musicals. Taraji P. Henson did her thing but I was even more impressed with the performance of Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia really gave a fantastic before in her role as the main character. It is a must see filn especially if you are a fan of the original.
