I knew the TV show Empire was going to be a big hit the first time I saw it. The music is great and the storyline is awesome. When the character Lucsious took his gay son outside and threw him in a garbage can, it was was one of the illest scenes I ever saw on regular television. Everybody seems to love Cookie, who is a character portrayed by actress Taraji P. Henson.
If you haven't watched Empire yet, make sure you check it out on On-Demand. It will be well worth your time. Best drama series since The Wire in my opinion.

No Good Deed Movie Review
I saw No Good Deed in the movie theater last weekend to kill some time while my car was being worked on. This movie had some potential but I thought it could be much better. The movie stars Taraji P. Henson and Idris Elba. Idris Elba stars as a violent criminal named Colin who escapes from prison and terrorizes the home of a lady named Terri who is portrayed by Taraji P. Henson.
In in the beginning of the movie, Colin comes across as a randomly violent man but by the end of the movie you find out what his true motives are. My problem with the movie is that Colin never really goes off on Terri in the movie and it almost seems like he doesn't really want to hurt her. Terri on the other hand didn't take no sh_t and actually f_cked him up more than he did her. In other words, if the movie was shot in an elevator Colin would be Jay-Z and Terri would be Solange. LOL
The movie was never really scary because of the fact that Terri dominated Colin in the violence department but what do expect from PG-13 film? I did find it entertaining however but thought the ending could have been better. Colin came across as a violent guy with few morals as he seemed to never really want to hurt Terri or her kids in the movie. This could have been a classic if the ending was done a little better and it the Colin character didn't hold back on Terri.
